Qatar Energy confirms that one of its oil tankers was attacked by a missile
According to a report from the main station, on April 1st local time, Qatar Energy issued a statement confirming that a tanker leased by the company was attacked by a missile in Qatar’s northern territorial waters early that morning. The statement said all crew members on board were unharmed, and the incident caused no environmental impact. On April 1st, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense stated that Qatar was attacked by three cruise missiles from Iran that day, successfully intercepting two of them, while the third missile hit a tanker leased by Qatar Energy anchored within Qatar’s territorial waters. Relevant Qatar authorities successfully evacuated all 21 crew members on board, with no casualties. (CCTV News)
