CryptoWorld News reports that Iran's ambassador to India stated on Monday that Indian oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz have not paid any tolls to Iran. Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump had vowed to prevent ships paying fees to Iran from passing through the strait. "You can ask the Indian government whether we have collected any fees so far," said Mohammad Fathali, Iran's ambassador to India, at a press conference held at the Iranian embassy. "During these difficult times, we maintain good relations. We believe Iran and India share common interests and a common destiny," he added. Since the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war, Iran has effectively blocked this strategic waterway. India has repeatedly denied paying any fees. India states that 15 Indian-flagged ships are still stranded in the Persian Gulf.
