As of the week ending April 8th, according to the data from Zaogang.com, the production and inventory levels of key steel varieties nationwide are as follows: National building materials data: production of 4.6517 million tons, a decrease of 113,000 tons from last week; factory inventory of 5.9814 million tons, an increase of 48k tons; social inventory of 7.7461 million tons, a decrease of 137.5k tons; total inventory of 13.7275 million tons, a decrease of 89.5k tons; apparent demand of 4.7412 million tons, a decrease of 603.5k tons from last week. National hot-rolled coil data: production of 2.6642 million tons, a decrease of 29.7k tons from last week; factory inventory of 969.1k tons, an increase of 14.5k tons; social inventory of 4.2328 million tons, a decrease of 12k tons; total inventory of 5.2297 million tons, a decrease of 87.6k tons; apparent demand of 4.1494 million tons, an increase of 88k tons.
