U.S. officials say the U.S. military has deployed 16 warships in the Middle East region
Mars Finance News, April 14 — According to CCTV reports, a U.S. defense official stated that the U.S. military has currently deployed 16 warships in the Middle East, including the aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln,” as well as 11 destroyers, 3 amphibious assault ships, and 1 littoral combat ship.
Another defense official said that there are no U.S. warships currently deployed in the Persian Gulf waters (the main coastline of Iran).
The official pointed out that a “maritime notice” shows that the U.S. is restricting passage into Iranian ports, but the specific implementation details are still being developed.
U.S. President Trump said that the blockade of Iranian ports took effect on Monday, but the military has not yet clarified the specific method of enforcement.
