Global well-known human resources service organization, Randstad Group of the Netherlands, released a survey report on the 18th showing that with the emergence of global artificial intelligence, or AI data centers, the demand for traditional technical talents such as electricians and plumbers has surged, leading to a serious shortage of skilled workers worldwide. From 2022 to 2026, the global demand for robotics technicians is expected to grow by 107%. The CEO of Randstad Group stated that the true limiting factor for global technological growth is not just chip, energy, or capital shortages, but a severe shortage of specialized technical talents needed to build related hardware, because artificial intelligence cannot “hands-on” build data centers on its own. Due to supply and demand imbalance, wages for professional technical workers have increased. The survey shows that over the past four years, the hiring wages for HVAC engineers have increased by approximately 10% to 15%, and after professional technicians entered the data center field, salaries generally rose by 25% to 30%.
