Hey, I just found out that Brandon Moreno's fight at UFC Fight Night in Mexico had last-minute changes. The Mexican fighter was supposed to face Asu Alababayev, but the Kazakh injured his hand during training, so he was replaced by Lone'er Kavanagh, a 26-year-old Englishman ranked 15th in the world. Moreno remains the main attraction on the card.
Brandon Moreno's next fight took place at Arena CDMX on February 28 of this year, so it just happened recently. Kavanagh has a record of 9 wins and one recent loss to Charles Johnson, but the guy has an interesting style with quick, precise strikes. He's not an easy opponent, honestly.
The card was quite full with several Mexicans in action. Besides Brandon Moreno's flyweight fight, there was Edgar Chairez, Marlon Vera, Imanol Rodríguez, Daniel Zellhuber, Santiago Luna, and others. I think it was a pretty strong event considering it was at home. Tickets ranged from 2,000 to 14,000 Mexican pesos, so it wasn't accessible to everyone but also not too expensive. Did anyone else watch Brandon Moreno's fight or did they miss it?
