You know, I got curious about John McAfee the other day and ended up down this rabbit hole about his personal life. Most people know him from the antivirus thing - Intel bought his company for like 7.7 billion back in 2010, which is insane. But honestly, his marriage to Janice Dyson is way more interesting than the business side.
They met in Miami Beach in 2012, and from what I read, she was working as a prostitute at the time. McAfee was 71, she was 34 - huge age gap, right? But they got married the next year anyway. People thought it was weird, but they actually stayed together through some seriously wild stuff. Like, they were constantly running from the law because McAfee had all these legal issues - tax evasion charges, stuff about not reporting crypto promotion money, the whole mess.
What's crazy is how loyal Janice was through all of it. They were literally fugitives at one point, moving around, dealing with threats. McAfee even thought she might betray him at some point and fired a gun in their house. But she stuck with him. They divorced in 2019, but she was still defending him publicly.
Then McAfee got arrested in Barcelona in October 2020, and things got darker. He died in his cell in June 2021, officially ruled as suicide. But Janice absolutely doesn't believe that. She's been fighting ever since, saying he was in good spirits, that he had legal plans, that the whole thing doesn't add up. She even got a tattoo reference - McAfee had a "WHACKD" tattoo and kept tweeting about fearing death in jail.
What gets me is how much Janice has been trying to keep his memory alive. She's managing his social media, pushing for independent autopsies, basically refusing to accept the official story. Whether you think she's right or not, her dedication to fighting for what she believes is pretty intense. Their whole story - from how they met to everything after his death - it's the kind of thing that makes you question what you think you know about someone. The john mcafee wives narrative isn't just about a relationship; it's about someone standing by their partner through absolute chaos.
I'm not saying I know what really happened, but Janice's refusal to let this go is making a lot of people reconsider the official narrative. She's been in Spain for years trying to get answers. That's not something you do unless you really believe something's wrong. The whole thing is still unresolved, which is probably why people keep talking about it.
