For the 2025/26 national cotton processing enterprises, cotton is processed and undergoes notarized inspection in accordance with the requirements of the Cotton Quality Inspection System Reform Plan. As of 24:00 on March 31, 2026, a cumulative total of 33.72 million bales have been notarized and inspected, totaling 7.6133 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.32%. For Xinjiang cotton specifically, the cumulative notarized inspection volume is 7.2192 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.49%; of this, the number of inspections for sawtooth fine-staple cotton is 33.55 million bales, the number of inspections for roller-ginned fine-staple cotton is 21448 bales, and the number of inspections for long-staple cotton is 153.9 thousand bales.
