On March 19th local time, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán stated that Hungary’s position is very clear: until the oil supply through Ukraine resumes, Hungary will not support any EU decisions supporting Ukraine. Orbán said that they are currently waiting for the “Friendship” oil pipeline to resume operation and regain oil supplies, and until then, related commitments “lack practical significance.” Orbán emphasized that the energy supply issue is of “vital importance” to Hungary and is not a political game. If oil transportation cannot be restored, it will have a serious impact on the lives of Hungarian residents and business operations. Hungary calls on Ukraine to fully understand this point and to restore relevant energy transportation as soon as possible. (CCTV News)
