Ministry of Commerce: U.S. unilateralism undermines the international economic and trade order
According to the Ministry of Commerce, on March 11 Eastern Time, the Office of the United States Trade Representative announced the launch of a Section 301 investigation against 16 economies, including China, citing “overcapacity” as the reason. In response, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that the Section 301 investigation is a typical act of unilateralism, severely damaging the international economic and trade order. China urges the U.S. to correct its wrong practices and return to the correct path of resolving issues through dialogue and consultation. China will closely monitor the development of the situation, reserve the right to take all necessary measures, and firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests. (CCTV International News)
