Hikvision responds to over 300 people being taken away: Rumor, no such situation exists

Sina Technology News, April 7th, afternoon report, recently, screenshots related to Hikvision have been leaked. According to the leaked images: due to a vulnerability in the surveillance system, more than 300 employees at Hikvision headquarters have been taken in for investigation, including senior management and technical personnel.

In response, Sina Technology contacted Hikvision for verification. The company responded: “The above rumors are false. The company does not have such a situation.”

Hikvision was established in 2001 and is a technology company dedicated to applying IoT sensing, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies across various industries. The latest financial report shows that by 2025, Hikvision will achieve a total revenue of 92.52B yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.02%; and a net profit attributable to the parent of 14.19B yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.46%.

Sina Technology has noticed that recently, Hikvision also disclosed the resignation of R&D personnel in Xi’an. An insider told Sina Technology that this resignation was part of a company layoff, affecting about 40 people. However, as of the time of this report, Hikvision has not responded to inquiries regarding the aforementioned layoffs.

As of the close on April 7th, Hikvision’s stock price was 30.20 yuan per share, down 0.23%, with a company valuation of 2.768 trillion yuan.
