ME News message, April 13 (UTC+8): according to PeckShield monitoring, 1 billion DOT tokens were anomalously minted and sold on the Ethereum chain. On-chain data shows that about an hour ago, the attacker transferred contract control to a malicious address by tampering with admin permissions, then minted 1 billion DOT and immediately sold it, causing the token price to crash from $1.22 to nearly zero. The incident is still unfolding, and Polkadot official has not yet issued a response. The attack targeted bridged assets on Ethereum, not the Polkadot native chain. (Source: ChainCatcher)
