Why Did ETH Surge So Much This Time?

The recent ETH price surge has left many people confused. Just when we were all anxious, suddenly the price shot up.

Actually, there are two core reasons:

1. Geopolitical news stabilized sentiment, turning fear into buying appetite

Recently, the market was being driven by US-Iran tensions. Everyone was on edge, worried that a sudden conflict would disrupt the market, so funds were frozen and even fleeing.

Then Trump made moves, saying there has been positive progress in US-Iran dialogue and they don't plan to take action against Iran for now. At that moment, the market's worries lifted—the major risk everyone feared disappeared, and investor sentiment shifted from panic to optimism.

Once risk appetite returned, funds started flowing into crypto assets and other risky assets. Everyone felt the market had stabilized, so ETH naturally rallied.

2. Derivatives market triggered a chain reaction, pushing prices higher rapidly

After funds entered, the high leverage positions and large pending orders hidden in the derivatives market directly triggered a chain reaction.

At that time, ETH touched a key technical support level, and a pile of highly leveraged short positions were instantly liquidated. Bears were forced out, bulls added positions opportunistically, and prices surged in a short timeframe. For a while, liquidations occurred frequently, with prices rising especially fast.

Simply put, recovering sentiment provided the foundation for the rally, while technical leverage trading accelerated the upward momentum. The combination of both led to this ETH surge!
