BlackRock CEO: Tokenization Could Make Mobile Investing as Simple as Payment
CoinWorld reports that BlackRock CEO Larry Fink stated that asset tokenization is expected to significantly simplify the investment process, making it as convenient for users to invest via mobile phones as it is to make daily payments. In his annual letter, Fink pointed out that half of the world’s population already uses digital wallets. If these wallets also have investment functions, users will be able to easily configure diversified asset portfolios for long-term investment. He believes that tokenization can reconstruct financial infrastructure through blockchain technology, making asset issuance, trading, and access more efficient. Asset tokenization refers to converting traditional assets such as stocks, bonds, and real estate into digital tokens on the blockchain, thereby increasing liquidity and supporting fractionalized investments. Fink has previously emphasized that this technology helps lower investment barriers and promotes broader participation. Against the backdrop of traditional financial institutions accelerating blockchain applications, regulators and legislative bodies are also actively researching the potential role of tokenization in market structure and trade execution.
