Dezhou's First "Happiness School" Pilot Campus Officially Unveiled
On March 22, the pilot school for the Happiness School Project in Dezhou City held an unveiling ceremony at Dezhou Sunshine Future Foreign Language School, marking the official launch of Dezhou’s first “Happiness School” pilot program and opening a new model of collaborative education among families, schools, and communities.
According to reports, the “Happiness School” pilot project centers on the theme of “Making change happen, making happiness visible.” Led by the Dezhou Family Culture Research Association and supported by the professional “Knowing Sister Lecture Team,” it focuses on three main groups: teachers, students, and parents, aiming to build a comprehensive, full-cycle happiness education system. The project will run for three years, progressing steadily through four stages: initiation, learning enhancement, practice infiltration, and integration and excellence, with the goal of creating a replicable and promotable model of happiness education.
Fu Xinglu, president of the Dezhou Family Culture Research Association, told reporters that the project targets four key areas: empowering students through emotional management, resilience education, group psychological counseling, and one-on-one counseling services at “Heart Station” to improve students’ psychological resilience and self-regulation; empowering parents through a series of parent classes and parent-child communication salons, focusing on solving the challenges of parenting in boarding families and alleviating parental anxiety; empowering teachers through specialized training in mental health, classroom management, and stress adjustment to enhance their educational abilities and professional happiness; and creating a warm, positive campus atmosphere through activities like “Happiness Moments,” themed class meetings, and campus culture development.
Zhong Hua, principal of Dezhou Sunshine Future Foreign Language School, told reporters that the school will focus on the educational philosophy of “Making the school a happy place for teachers and students,” integrating happiness education into teaching, family-school collaboration, and campus culture throughout the entire process. The goal is to achieve the healthy development of students’ happiness, teachers’ joy in teaching, parents’ happy companionship, and the school’s happy operation. The school leader stated that, by leveraging the project, they will improve mental health education mechanisms, deepen family-school-community collaboration, and create a regional model of happiness education for private schools.
The implementation of the “Happiness School” pilot is an important measure for Dezhou City to promote the deep integration of family education and school education, and it has positive significance for strengthening adolescent mental health education, improving educational quality, and building a harmonious educational ecosystem.
