IT House, February 25 — According to Korean media DealSite today, for the upcoming new generation Galaxy S26 series smartphones from Samsung Electronics DX Division MX Business, Samsung Electronics DS Division Memory Business and Micron will each supply about 50% of the initial capacity of LPDDR5X memory.

IT House notes that Micron previously supplied memory exclusively for the initial batch of the Galaxy S25 series, and Samsung Electronics DS Division Memory Business only regained the position as the primary supplier of its sibling company’s products at a later stage.

Regarding pricing, both Samsung Electronics DS Division Memory Business and Micron have significantly increased their initial quotes to Samsung Electronics DX Division MX Business. However, reports indicate that these prices are still lower than what the two major DRAM manufacturers charge other smartphone makers (such as Apple), leaving room for further price increases in subsequent negotiations.
