Japan reports the second swine fever outbreak this year

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan announced on the 11th that a farm in Fuji-miya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan, confirmed cases of swine fever on that day. The farm raises approximately 1,550 pigs. This is the second confirmed case of swine fever in Japan this year. The announcement stated that all pigs on the farm will be culled, burned, and buried in accordance with the livestock infectious disease prevention guidelines for swine fever. (Xinhua)
