BitBoy's Florida Arrest Highlights Ongoing Legal Troubles for Prominent Crypto Influencer
Cryptocurrency personality Ben Armstrong, widely known in the industry as BitBoy, was apprehended in Florida’s Volusia County on March 25, 2025. The arrest came just days after Armstrong himself revealed through X platform that law enforcement had issued warrants for his detention—a move that caught many in the crypto community off guard.
The Warrant And Custody Details
According to official records from Volusia County Division of Corrections, Armstrong was taken into custody at 7:18 pm local time. The fugitive status came as a result of his correspondence with Georgia’s legal system. In an X post dated March 21, 2025, Armstrong had proactively disclosed his legal situation, claiming that court records in Cobb County, Georgia, were central to the warrant issuance.
The Email Controversy Behind The Legal Action
Armstrong’s correspondence issue stemmed from emails he sent to Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs while representing himself in legal proceedings. Armstrong asserted that the judge subsequently deleted her social media accounts in response to these communications—a claim that intensified scrutiny on his actions. The specifics of the email content and Armstrong’s legal representation remain under investigation.
A Recurring Pattern In The Crypto Sphere
This latest custody incident marks the second time Armstrong has faced arrest. He was previously detained in September 2023 while livestreaming outside a former business associate’s residence. During that earlier incident, Armstrong alleged that this associate unlawfully possessed his luxury Lamborghini, which he claimed as his personal property. The pattern of legal entanglements suggests ongoing disputes that continue to affect the prominent crypto personality.
At the time of this report, Armstrong’s legal representation team had not issued official statements, and further details regarding potential charges remain pending.
