Russia reaffirms its support for the defense of Venezuela's sovereignty

In early January, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed a phone conversation between Sergey Lavrov and Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President and Minister of Petroleum of Venezuela. In this dialogue, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized Moscow’s ongoing commitment to the South American nation, firmly standing with the Venezuelan people amid the multiple challenges facing the Caribbean country.

During the diplomatic exchange, both parties addressed key strategic issues. Lavrov emphasized that Russia remains unwavering in its support for Venezuela in defending its national sovereignty and interests, as communicated by the Russian Foreign Ministry through its official channels.
