War Update: 158 Clashes On Front Line Over Past Day, Heaviest Fighting In Huliaipole Sector
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Sunday, March 1, Ukrinform reports.
According to updated data, yesterday Russian forces struck Ukrainian territory using two missiles and 241 guided aerial bombs, and also deployed 8,613 kamikaze drones.
The invaders additionally shelled Ukrainian positions and populated areas 3,604 times, including 63 times with multiple launch rocket systems.
Among the settlements that came under enemy strikes with guided aerial bombs were Havrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Ivanivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Huliaipilske, Charivne, Zirnytsia, Novoukrainka, Dolynka, Bilenke, and Malokaterynivka in Zaporizhzhia region; and Olhivka in Kherson region.
Over the past day, Ukrainian missile forces and artillery struck eight areas of concentration of Russian army personnel, three command posts, five artillery systems, an ammunition depot, and one other important target.
In the ** Northern Slobozhanshchyna** and ** Kursk** axes, Russian forces used five guided aerial bombs and shelled Defense Forces positions and settlements 138 times, including twice with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the ** Southern Slobozhanshchyna** sector, Russian troops launched seven assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Pokrovka, Prylipka, Vovchanski Khutory, and Chuhunivka, advancing toward Zybyne.
In the ** Kupiansk** sector, the invaders carried out five attacks yesterday. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions toward Kindrashivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Kurylivka, in the area of Borivska Andriivka.
In the ** Lyman** sector, the Russian army attacked six times, attempting to advance toward Novoiehorivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Drobysheve.
In the ** Sloviansk** sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attempts to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, in the areas of Yampil, Riznykivka, Zakitne, and Dronivka.
In the ** Kramatorsk** sector, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations yesterday.
In the ** Kostiantynivka** sector, Russian troops attacked seven times near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Stepanivka, advancing toward Novopavlivka.
In the ** Pokrovsk** sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 enemy offensive actions in the areas of Toretsk, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotlyne, Molodetske, and Filiia, advancing toward Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, and Novopidhorodne.
In the ** Oleksandrivka** sector, Russian troops attacked defenders’ positions seven times in the areas of Sichneve, Kalynivske, and Ternove.
In the ** Huliaipole** sector, the invaders attempted to advance 45 times on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Huliaipole and Myrne, toward Staroukrainka, Zelene, Dobropillia, Pryluki, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, and Varvarivka.
In the ** Orikhiv** and ** Prydniprovske** axes, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations yesterday.

In the ** Volyn** and ** Polissia** axes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
As Ukrinform reported, over the past day the Defense Forces eliminated 870 Russian invaders.
