The micro-short drama market size will surpass 100 billion yuan in 2025
At yesterday’s (the 6th) regular policy briefing held by the State Council, a relevant official from the National Radio and Television Administration stated that they will develop and implement the “Micro-Short Drama Development Management Measures,” and thoroughly carry out the “Micro-Short Drama+” action plan to further promote micro-short dramas to stimulate service consumption. The official also mentioned that by 2025, 33,000 micro-short dramas will be launched and broadcast, with nearly 700 million domestic users. Last year, the market size of micro-short dramas exceeded 100 billion yuan, doubling compared to 2024. (CCTV News)
