Xpeng(XPEV.US)G6 Super Extended Range Launch: 2250 TOPS Computing Power + Second Generation VLA

On March 6th, XPeng Motors (XPEV.US) held a launch event in Guangzhou, announcing the official release of the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range Edition. The new vehicle is positioned as a six-in-one AI extended-range SUV. The official guide price for the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range 1704 Max version is 186,800 RMB.

According to XPeng Motors, since its launch, the XPeng G6 series has received recognition from over 180,000 owners worldwide. By 2025, it is expected to rank first in sales within the 180,000 to 200,000 RMB mid-sized pure electric SUV market in China. In overseas markets, this model ranks first in sales among new energy brands in five European countries.

Achieving Dual Breakthroughs in Range and Charging Speed

The XPeng G6 Super Extended Range Edition is equipped with a 55.8 kWh battery pack and a 60-liter fuel tank, with a combined CLTC range of 1,704 kilometers, including a pure electric range of 430 kilometers.

In terms of charging, the new vehicle features an 800-volt high-voltage platform and 5C charging rate across the entire lineup, making it the only extended-range SUV in the 200,000 RMB price segment with this configuration. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 12 minutes, adding approximately 314 kilometers of range. Regarding energy consumption, the CLTC combined cycle consumes 13.9 kWh per 100 km, and the WLTC combined cycle fuel consumption is 5.9 liters per 100 km. The vehicle is equipped with ENC+RNC dual-source active noise reduction technology to enhance long-distance travel comfort.

Continuous Evolution of Intelligent Assisted Driving

The XPeng G6 Super Extended Range Edition introduces the second-generation VLA large model for the first time in vehicles under 200,000 RMB. The Ultra and Ultra SE versions are scheduled to receive the second-generation VLA system in April, while the Max version will be launched in the second half of the year.

In terms of computing power, the vehicle boasts a maximum of 2250 TOPS of effective on-board processing capability. The Max version comes standard with one Turing AI chip, the Ultra SE version with two, and the Ultra version with three. The intelligent cockpit features the Dimensity AIOS 6.0 system, equipped with a 10B-level parameter vehicle-side VLM large model, upgraded to a visual language model supporting functions like 3D navigation and beyond-visual-range perception.

Comprehensive Upgrades in Chassis Feel and Safety Performance

The XPeng G6 Super Extended Range Edition is equipped with the Taiji AI chassis across all variants, featuring front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, along with Taiji hydraulic bushing matrices and intelligent variable damping shock absorbers. The chassis system has five AI capabilities, allowing it to recognize road conditions in advance and adapt accordingly.

In safety, the vehicle features a 12,000-ton integrated aluminum die-cast body at the front and rear, with core safety configurations consistent between domestic and overseas versions. It has received the highest five-star rating from C-NCAP and the full G rating from C-IASI. The battery has passed gunfire tests, exceeding new national standards for protection. The active safety system includes 15 functions, with AEB automatic emergency braking and AES automatic emergency avoidance supporting speeds up to 130 km/h. The vehicle also features a 180 km/h high-speed tire blowout stabilization function.

XPeng Motors states that the launch of the G6 Super Extended Range Edition aims to create a one-stop good car for young families, allowing more users to enjoy the travel experience brought by intelligent technology.
