Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli stated at the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress on March 7 that during the nine-day Spring Festival holiday this year, domestic tourism reached 596 million trips, with spending exceeding 800 billion yuan, setting a new record. By 2025, the number of domestic trips is expected to surpass 6.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of over 16%, with spending reaching 6.3 trillion yuan, up 9.5% year-on-year, also a historic high.
