Wu says that according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are discussing plans to relocate to the same office in Washington, D.C., in a campus near the train station. However, the two agencies will not actually merge. The relocation plan has been under discussion since last year and may be implemented as early as 2027.
