Indonesian low-calorie thermal coal prices are trending stronger

On March 2nd, Indonesian low-calorie thermal coal prices remained relatively strong. Indonesia is currently in Ramadan, which limits production and supply efficiency. Miners are maintaining high prices for long-term contracts. The current market FOB fixed price for Q3800 Panama ships is $62/ton or higher, with some large mines quoting 6-7 USD/ton above the index. It is difficult to find low-priced inquiries for short positions, and actual transactions are limited. In the short term, imported coal prices are expected to remain relatively strong. Continued attention should be paid to the final approval results of Indonesia’s RKAB and actual supply conditions. (My Steel Network)
