CME Gold Futures Trading Volume Declines, Silver and Copper Trading Volumes Stop Falling and Rebound

CME releases data on gold, silver, and copper trading volume and open interest. Gold futures trading volume decreased, while silver and copper volumes rebounded after declines. Open interest for all three metals declined, indicating signs of market recovery. Gold futures trading volume was 267,752 contracts, down 18,763 from the previous trading day. Open interest was 402,728 contracts, down 4,915 from the previous day. Silver futures trading volume was 208,656 contracts, up 69,108 from the previous day. Open interest was 137,327 contracts, down 5,903. Copper futures trading volume was 85,349 contracts, up 1,243. Open interest was 278,836 contracts, down 1,347.
