"Three Oil Majors" close at a collective daily limit for the first time in history
Sinopec’s late trading session reached the daily limit during the closing auction, with transactions exceeding 7.4 billion yuan. Previously, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) both hit the daily limit, marking the first time the “Big Three Oil” companies all closed at the daily limit simultaneously. On October 8, 2024, all three oil giants briefly hit the daily limit during trading.
