Iranian authorities confirm that senior military leaders, including the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense, were killed in an attack.
On the morning of March 1st local time, Iran confirmed that during the attack launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28th, several senior commanders of Iranian armed forces were killed in the attack. The casualties include: Major General Musa Vali, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Pakpour, Secretary of the Iranian Defense Council, Shamkhani, and Defense Minister Aziz Nakhizadeh. It is reported that these commanders were killed during a Defense Council meeting. (CCTV News)
