Participating in the film "Chasing the Dream 3" wins the Chinese New Year box office crown, but the stock price hits the limit down. Bona Film Group responds

Although the film “Flying Life 3” grossed nearly 3 billion yuan and won the box office championship during the Spring Festival period, Bona Film Group’s stock price hit the limit down. On February 24, the A-share film and television theater sector significantly cooled down, with Bona Film Group’s stock hitting the limit down at 11.49 yuan per share, with a total market value of 15.79 billion yuan, and a sell order of over 1.2 million shares at the best bid. Regarding this stock price decline, a reporter contacted Bona Film Group as an investor, and a staff member said that the market previously referenced last year’s box office performance of “Nezha: The Devil’s Birth” to make a positive forecast for this year’s film market, which boosted the rise of several concept stocks including Hengdian Film & TV and Enlight Media before the holiday; today’s stock performance “may be related to the gap between the previous expectations and the actual box office during the entire Spring Festival.” (21 Finance)
