Recently, a widely circulated claim on social media suggested that Satoshi Nakamoto sold 10,000 Bitcoins from a long-dormant wallet. This information quickly spread within the crypto community, causing concern. However, detailed on-chain analysis shows that this claim is not true.

According to CoinWorld, there are rumors claiming that Satoshi Nakamoto activated a dormant wallet and sold Bitcoin worth over $700 million. But on-chain monitoring by Arkham Intelligence shows no signs of such large transactions. The known wallet addresses associated with Satoshi hold 1.096 million Bitcoins, a number that has remained relatively stable over the past 12 years. Aside from very rare small transactions, this most famous wallet has never engaged in any significant transfers.

This clearly indicates that Satoshi himself has not conducted such a sale.

The reason Satoshi’s wallet attracts so much attention is because of its unique silence. The last activity was over a decade ago, with no transactions since then. Because of this, any movement in Satoshi’s wallet tends to be overinterpreted by the market.
