Since 2016, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has conducted the China Business Environment Survey and released an annual report for 10 consecutive years. Today (the 28th), CCPIT held a press conference to release the “2025 China Business Environment Research Report” (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”). The report shows that surveyed companies rated China’s business environment at 4.39 out of 5, an improvement for two consecutive years. Nearly 90% of surveyed companies are satisfied with China’s business environment.
Among the 12 primary evaluation indicators, companies rated customs services, business establishment and exit procedures, and the social legal environment at the top. Business operations are steadily improving.
CCPIT spokesperson Wang Wenshuai introduced that by 2025, nearly 70% of surveyed companies maintained stable or increased profits compared to the previous year, and over 70% of foreign trade companies reported that their order volumes were stable or higher than last year.
The new special survey on the business environment for foreign-invested enterprises in the report shows that foreign-invested companies rated China’s business environment at 4.51 out of 5, reaching an “excellent” level. 94.9% of surveyed foreign-invested companies are satisfied with China’s business environment, and 70.4% reported stable or increased profits compared to the previous year.
Wang Wenshuai stated that “improvement in industry market conditions” and “stabilization and recovery of China’s economy” are the main reasons driving profit growth, reflecting foreign-invested enterprises’ continued optimism about the Chinese market.
