Diplomatic talks between Ukraine and Russia enter a new critical phase. According to Jin10 reports, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steven Witkoff, confirmed in an interview with Fox News that both delegations are prepared to participate in a new round of dialogue in the coming days. This process could lead to an unprecedented high-level meeting in the region.

Delegations finalize proposals for the next round

Witkoff and Jared Kushner, another close advisor to Trump, expressed optimism about the initiatives to be carried out at this stage. Both officials believe that the proposals presented to Ukraine and Russia will create a favorable environment for substantive rapprochement between the parties. Negotiation teams from both nations have indicated their willingness to participate in these talks within approximately three weeks.

Trilateral summit on the horizon if progress is made

The real breaking point could come with a bilateral summit between President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Vladimir Putin. If progress is achieved, Witkoff did not rule out that President Trump might participate in a historic trilateral meeting.
