On February 28, Israeli media reported that Israel’s initial assessment suggests the attempt to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei and President Pahlevi has failed. Iran previously confirmed that both individuals are safe. An Israeli official stated that the US and Israel targeted Khamenei and Pahlevi in the attack, including residences of ministers and military generals, as well as facilities of the Ministry of Defense, intelligence agencies, and the presidential palace. The attack occurred near Khamenei’s office. Reuters, citing an Iranian official, reported that Khamenei is currently not in Tehran and has been moved to a secure location. According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, Pahlevi is safe and unharmed. (CCTV)
