Uzbekistan’s regulatory authorities have taken a significant step toward formalizing the country’s cryptocurrency mining sector. According to reports, the National Forward-Looking Projects Agency (NAPP) of Uzbekistan has officially issued the first cryptocurrency mining license through official channels, marking a new breakthrough in digital asset mining regulation in Central Asia.

NexaGrid Becomes the First Certified Mining Company

The license was granted to the private company NexaGrid. The company’s certification information has been officially registered in Uzbekistan’s electronic system, with the license valid until January 19, 2026. NexaGrid completed its business registration in Tashkent in April 2025, with a registered capital of 600 million Uzbek som, indicating the company’s strong commitment to mining operations.

Mining Equipment Deployed in Bukhara Region

According to the license details, NexaGrid’s mining equipment will be deployed in the Romitan district of Bukhara Province. This location choice suggests that the company has completed preliminary infrastructure assessments and is about to commence official mining operations in the area. Bukhara will become one of Uzbekistan’s key hubs for cryptocurrency mining.
