Ethereum Foundation Fund launched Project Odin for new sources of funding for public projects

On February 27, the Ethereum Foundation Fund coordination team announced the launch of Project Odin — an annual program designed to help key teams working on public projects establish sustainable funding and reduce dependence on a single source. The first pilot participant was the Vyper smart contract language team. As part of the initiative, projects will be helped to transition from grants to more diverse income streams, including service contracts, SLA, and training, and in the long term, they plan to develop the FRC model, combining grants and contract work for engineering tasks without losing research independence.
