Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 27 — Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced today the establishment of a strategic partnership with OpenAI and confirmed an investment in OpenAI. According to the collaboration, Amazon will provide a stateful runtime environment for OpenAI through Amazon Bedrock and will become the exclusive third-party cloud distributor for OpenAI Frontier. OpenAI will also heavily adopt Amazon's Trainium chips, which offer a 30-40% better cost-performance ratio compared to similar GPUs. Jassy stated that OpenAI has an excellent team, products, and vision, and Amazon believes this investment will bring long-term returns to the company.
