According to Chinese customs statistics, in 2025, China and Germany’s goods import and export volume reached 1.51 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.2% compared to 2024. Among them, exports to Germany were 664.3 billion yuan, and imports from Germany were 846.3 billion yuan. Germany continues to be China’s largest trading partner in Europe, and China has returned to being Germany’s largest trading partner after a year.

In terms of specific products, China-Germany import and export of electromechanical products reached 1.07 trillion yuan in 2025, a 5.8% increase from 2024, accounting for 70.8% of China-Germany trade. Among these, auto and auto parts exports and imports totaled 131.5 billion yuan, accounting for 12.3% of China-Germany electromechanical trade. Electronic components, computers and parts, and measurement and testing instruments exported and imported 74 billion yuan, 73.8 billion yuan, and 59.8 billion yuan respectively. During the same period, China-Germany medicinal materials and pharmaceuticals, basic organic chemicals, and other emerging products such as 3D printers and industrial robots had import and export values of 65.7 billion yuan, 18.4 billion yuan, 2.6 billion yuan, and 1 billion yuan respectively.
