During an interview with Bloomberg Media, director Maggie Kang discussed the unconventional approach to naming the film "KPop Demon Hunters." She explained that this choice was a decisive step but essentially aligns with the quirky nature of the story the filmmaker is telling.

The most interesting part is that the process of choosing the title took a significant amount of time – about a year of development and discussions before the team finalized their decision. Kang emphasized the importance of ensuring that the titles best reflect the creative essence of the project and its eccentric concept.

According to the director, the film was specifically created to embody the unusual spirit of its plot, and its particular nomenclature is an organic part of this concept. Therefore, the choice of the title was not accidental but the result of a deeply thought-out creative strategy aimed at ensuring that the titles and the film's substantive foundation are in harmony.
