Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 27 — According to South Korea’s Asia Economy, the Korea National Tax Service inadvertently revealed the recovery phrase (seed phrase) for a confiscated cryptocurrency hardware wallet in a press release about their success in追缴 high-profile tax evaders. This led to approximately 6.4 billion Korean won (about $4.8 million) in crypto assets being transferred by hackers. Blockchain experts analyzed that shortly after the password leak, 4 million PRTG tokens from the wallet were transferred to an unknown account. Experts criticized this incident, saying it exposed the tax authorities’ serious lack of basic knowledge in managing crypto assets, equating it to “opening the wallet and telling others to take the money.”
