Hainan Free Trade Port residents within the island implement a "zero tariff" policy for imported consumer goods. On the first day, nearly 500,000 yuan worth of sales across the entire island.

According to Haikou Customs, the first day total shopping amount at the initial five “zero tariff” duty-free stores for inbound goods across Hainan Island reached 488,800 yuan, with 2,428 shoppers, demonstrating high enthusiasm among local residents. In response to temporary stock shortages of popular products and concentrated purchasing intentions among island residents after opening, Haikou Customs has strengthened communication with enterprises, proactively understood their stocking plans, and monitored store sales in real-time. Through services such as appointment clearance, pre-arrival supervision, and on-demand inspection, they ensure that popular products are replenished and put on shelves promptly, enabling smooth customs clearance and circulation of hot-selling items.
