Abstract generation in progress

There are accelerating substantive efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. According to President Zelensky’s latest announcement, the two countries are expected to hold talks in Geneva, Switzerland, within the next 10 days. While disagreements still exist on particularly sensitive territorial issues during this meeting, a significant progress has been observed.

Constructive efforts toward a solution are underway

Zelensky pointed out that a constructive solution has been found regarding prisoner exchanges. Negotiations on specific exchange details, the number of prisoners, and the timing are progressing, with a formal date expected to be confirmed within a few days. According to Jin10, the president avoided optimistic statements about the current results but acknowledged substantial progress between the two countries. The territorial issues remain a challenge, and it appears that no constructive agreement has yet been reached in this area.

New talks in February could be key to ending the conflict

Ukraine has expressed its intention to organize new high-level talks in February. Zelensky stated that there is still an opportunity to truly end the conflict and is preparing for the upcoming negotiations next month. Since high-level negotiations could play a decisive role, Ukraine is preparing for this possibility and aims to achieve further substantive results.
