On February 26, iQIYI (IQ.US) released its Q4 2025 and full-year financial reports. According to the data, iQIYI’s total revenue for 2025 was 27.29 billion RMB, with a Non-GAAP operating profit of 640 million RMB, marking four consecutive years of operating profitability. In the fourth quarter, iQIYI’s total revenue reached 6.79 billion RMB, achieving year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter growth. The Non-GAAP operating profit for the quarter was 140 million RMB.

During the earnings call on the same day, “Building an AIGC Ecosystem” was introduced as the third core strategic goal for iQIYI in 2026, alongside strengthening its core business and expanding emerging businesses. iQIYI also announced for the first time the progress of its self-developed AI intelligent platform, NadoPro.

The increasingly mature AI-driven content generation capabilities have become a major variable in the entertainment industry. Addressing key industry questions, such as the impact of large video generation models like Seedance 2.0 on iQIYI, founder and CEO Gong Yu responded positively. Gong Yu stated, “Large video models clearly significantly reduce the costs of producing long-form videos, shorten production times, lower the barriers to creation, and enable more creators to enter the long-form video industry. Ultimately, this will greatly increase both the quantity and quality of long videos, which is very beneficial for a long-video media platform like iQIYI.”

It is clear that AI can bring more opportunities for platforms to efficiently produce richer content. For example, in animation dramas, as native content of the AI era, most current animation dramas are generated and produced by AI. Using AI to directly generate children’s animations and vertical-screen short dramas can reduce production costs to one-tenth or less of traditional methods. Traditional content production methods for online movies, animations, documentaries, and others are increasingly dominated by AI.

Gong Yu also predicted that AI-led commercial blockbusters will emerge within the next 2-3 years. Currently, some live-action theatrical films, TV dramas, and variety shows are already adopting AI, with significant cost reduction effects.

“In the past few months, the development of large AI models worldwide has made iQIYI clearly realize that the entertainment content production industry will undergo disruptive changes within the next 1-3 years,” Gong Yu said. To seize the opportunity, iQIYI is combining its leading global foundational models with its extensive experience in professional content creation to develop its own AI platform, NadoPro. This platform aims to revolutionize professional film and TV content creation, optimize the entire production process from script evaluation to final generation, and build an AIGC content ecosystem that attracts new-generation creators. Currently, NadoPro is in closed testing, with iQIYI’s internal teams and key partners using it to assist in the creation of movies, series, animations, and other professional content.

Notably, according to public data, iQIYI filed nearly 1,000 new invention patents in 2025, more than half of which involve AI technology innovations.

Gong Yu emphasized that AI will serve as a creative catalyst to amplify iQIYI’s core creative advantages, significantly improving efficiency and reducing production costs. iQIYI will strive to build a new AIGC content ecosystem, shifting the media platform model from centralized to decentralized. Specific measures will be announced at the iQIYI World Conference in April.
