According to the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 13 of 2026, announcing the adjustment of anti-discrimination measures against Canada. Previously, China took countermeasures in response to Canada’s tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and steel and aluminum products. Recently, China and Canada reached a preliminary joint arrangement through consultations, and the Canadian government has partially adjusted the relevant tariff measures. In light of this, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to lift the anti-discrimination measures on some Canadian imported goods. The new adjustments will take effect from March 1, 2026, and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
