On February 26, the photovoltaic concept was active. As of the time of publication, constituent stocks such as Beijing Kerey (002350.SZ), Dongfang Electric (600875.SH), and Zhongtian Technology (600522.SH) hit the daily limit. Oulai New Material (688530.SH), Dianke Lantian (688818.SH), Yubang New Material (301266.SZ), and Oulutong (300870.SZ) rose over 10%.

After the Spring Festival, the photovoltaic industry chain continued to lead the market, with space photovoltaics also attracting significant market attention. Previously, the A-share space photovoltaic concept surged following news of SpaceX team visits to several Chinese photovoltaic companies. Market expectations are that space photovoltaics, as a power supply method for emerging scenarios like commercial spaceflight and space computing, will open new growth opportunities for the photovoltaic industry.

CICC, Dongwu Securities, and other institutions believe that from 2025 to 2030, the demand for space photovoltaics will mainly serve traditional applications such as low Earth orbit satellites, with a market size in the hundreds of billions. After 2030, if space computing enters an optimistic deployment phase, demand for space photovoltaics could rise to trillions.

However, after SpaceX team visits to several Chinese photovoltaic companies, many firms quickly issued announcements stating they are not involved in space photovoltaic business. On February 26, Minglida (301268.SZ), Huitian New Material (300041.SZ), and others also stated on interactive platforms that their products are not applied in the space photovoltaic field. Previously, companies like Ketai Power (300153.SZ) and Tebian Electric (600089.SH) gave similar responses.

Industry insiders say that “space photovoltaics” is still in the early stages, and there is a long way to go before it becomes commercially viable. The number of companies that can ultimately benefit from space photovoltaics remains highly uncertain.
