According to the National Immigration Administration, during this year’s Spring Festival holiday, border inspection agencies nationwide checked a total of 17.796 million entries and exits of Chinese and foreign personnel, with an average of 1.977 million per day, a 10.1% increase compared to last year’s Spring Festival holiday. The highest daily peak of entry and exit clearance occurred on February 21, reaching 2.259 million. Among them, mainland residents’ entries and exits totaled 9.514 million, a 10.2% increase from last year’s daily average. Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan residents accounted for 6.969 million, an 8% increase. Foreigners numbered 1.313 million, a 21.8% increase. Among inbound foreigners, 460,000 entered under visa exemption policies, a 28.5% increase from last year’s daily average.
