As of February 26, the mainstream quoted price for waste electric vehicle batteries arriving at factories, including tax, is 9,870-9,980 yuan/ton, with an average of 9,925 yuan/ton, down slightly by 15 yuan/ton compared to the previous year, a decrease of 0.15%. Currently, some recyclers and smelting plants have not fully resumed operations, and raw material procurement demand is limited. Overall market trading is relatively weak, making it difficult to support an increase in waste battery prices. Looking ahead, prices are expected to receive some support. On one hand, after the holiday, smelting plants are gradually resuming production, which will increase the demand for raw materials to replenish waste batteries; on the other hand, the traditional peak season in March is approaching, and downstream demand is gradually recovering, which may boost lead prices and slightly push up waste battery prices. However, considering that the current profit level for recycled lead remains low, the potential for waste battery prices to rise is limited, and market fluctuations and declines are also possible.
