📝 We always think that those who can enjoy their time must be relaxed and gentle. But those who can truly immerse themselves in their own time are definitely ruthless. This ruthlessness is not indifference or selfishness, but more like a gentle detachment. They are unaffected by others' anxiety and panic, able to slow down peacefully when everyone else is racing, always maintaining a psychological distance between themselves and the external emotions and rhythms. People are too easily led by mainstream narratives; so-called is essentially a form of temporal colonization, occupying your attention and making you use your own time to fulfill others' expectations. Rhythm has never been about speed. When you can't enjoy your own time, you start to treat others' lives as a coordinate system. You think you're chasing and striving, but in reality, you're just seeking validation and avoiding solitude. Someone who can peacefully stay in their own time will maintain a kind of dull awareness. They seem slow, not rushing to respond to external stimuli, not eager to prove they haven't fallen behind. They will pause and ask themselves, Is this what I want? Is this the rhythm that suits me? Only after confirmation will they take action. This pause, in essence, is a delayed response—a boundary. You allow yourself to sit there and daydream, watching the sky outside gradually darken. No photos, no records, just a pure consumption. Time no longer serves as a tool or a means to an end, but returns to its original state: just flowing, just life itself, just whether at this moment I am doing something that makes me feel real. Perhaps, that is the moment when we are closest to ourselves.
