Nvidia's Jensen Huang is quite a gentleman. It seems he wasn't in the best mood during the interview—despite his dissatisfaction with the reporter, he still managed to control his expressions and speak very humbly and gently! 😆 This time, Jensen Huang was interviewed by the media on the streets of Taipei when asked about Nvidia's investment in OpenAI. He mainly clarified that Nvidia has never committed to a one-time investment of $100 billion in OpenAI, but would consider investing gradually if invited by OpenAI. 🌟 Below is the full transcript of the video interview:
Reporter: Can I quickly ask you again about OpenAI?
Huang Renxun: Of course.
Reporter: Yesterday, you said Nvidia would not invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI.
Huang Renxun: No, we never said we would invest $100 billion in a single round. That has never been said.
Reporter: But what about the overall commitment? Because last September, you mentioned OpenAI.
Huang Renxun: I have never made any commitment. That was if they invited us to invest up to $100 billion. Of course, we are very pleased and honored that they invited us, but we will consider investing step by step.
Reporter: But does the overall commitment still exist? Or is that not a commitment?
Huang Renxun: I just told you. You keep putting words in my mouth, and I apologize for that. Yes, yes, yes. I know. They invited us to invest up to $100 billion, and we are honored by their invitation. We will consider it round by round. But Huang Huang's enthusiasm for OpenAI isn't as strong as before!
