Following the NCAA basketball betting scandal, Missouri is now considering strict measures to protect the integrity of college sports. The state is looking at implementing a ban on proposition bets involving college athletes—a move aimed at preventing similar controversies. This regulatory push reflects growing concerns about how easy access to sports wagering on specific player performances could create incentives for manipulation or insider influence. The proposal highlights the tension between the booming sports betting market and the need for safeguards in collegiate athletics. As more states grapple with similar issues, this could set a precedent for how other jurisdictions approach athlete-related prop bets moving forward.

I think Missouri's move is right. Banning player props is the way to go; otherwise, it could easily cause problems.

Hmm... Now betting on sports will also be regulated, and college athletes are protected as well. Is banning prop bets enough... It should have been addressed long ago. Missouri doing this, other states will probably follow suit, another wave of regulation is coming.

Banning a player prop bet? Sounds good, but it's just a matter of interests. Can they really control it?

Suspended player prop bet? It should have been like this a long time ago, otherwise how can we prevent the rigged games?

NGL, this move is ruthless. Banning prop bets is indeed a brilliant move.
