Ether staking hits all-time high: Exit queue at 7 minutes!
The number of staked Ether has surpassed 36 million, setting a new record. Currently, about 30% of the total Ether supply is staked, while the exit queue, which reached significant levels during the summer, is now only 288 ETH.
The number of ETH tokens staked on the Ethereum Beacon Chain has broken records. The total has reached 36 million, approximately 30% of the total supply. The market value of staked Ether has also reached around $120 billion.
Exit queue almost emptied: down to 7 minutes
Meanwhile, the exit queue from staking, which approached 1 million ETH during the summer, is now only 288 ETH. The expected waiting time for exit has decreased from about 15 days to just 7 minutes...
On the other hand, 2,350,000 ETH are waiting to enter. The entry process appears to take over 40 days. This indicates that most investors want to stake their ETH.
Bitmine alone stakes 1.2 million
The largest Ether treasury company, Bitmine Immersion, is also staking a significant amount of ETH. The company is staking 1.25 million of its 4.1 million ETH holdings.
Tom Lee, the chairman of the company's board, previously stated, “Bitmine will be the world's most staked company.”
On Monday, Bitmine announced it purchased 24,266 ETH worth $75.3 million last week. With this purchase, the company now holds 4,167,768 ETH valued at $12.9 billion.
